Human Services & Social Justice

Since our founding, we have partnered with leaders committed to addressing homelessness, hunger, economic opportunity, racial equity, and social justice with steadfast determination and compassion.

With people nationwide facing economic, health, and equity challenges, the stakes could not be higher nor the issues more urgent. As our client, you gain access to an unparalleled depth of cross-sector, best-practice knowledge and experience to help develop the right plan to address your needs and diversify your funding stream. At the same time, we recognize that when we work within human services, we develop some of the most entrepreneurial funding solutions. Our clients, with our partnership, have been at the forefront of introducing major and principal gifts as an essential part of their philanthropic culture. Whether planning and implementing a campaign, engaging support at an unprecedented level, or finding the right leader – be they CEO, CDO, or CFO – you can expect to achieve the most impactful results.

Development Guild has been our trusted partner for well over 20 years. We have worked together on two successful fundraising campaigns – and are now launching our third, and most ambitious, campaign together. We have also partnered on numerous searches for C-suite and fundraising staff. These collaborations have contributed significantly to Pine Street’s evolution as the leader in efforts to end homelessness in Boston. Much like Pine Street, Development Guild strives for excellence. In search, their understanding of our culture, deep marketplace knowledge and access to top candidates has resulted in new staff who have an impact on day-one. In fundraising, each of our campaigns, and our work to sustain and grow our philanthropy in between campaigns, has benefited significantly from their strategic approach. But, perhaps the most intangible but critical aspect of our partnership is the deep trust we have in their commitment to our values and mission.

- Lyndia Downie, President and Executive Director

Community Access (NYC) had a phenomenal experience in partnering with Development Guild. They were extremely responsive and communicative; they guided us throughout the process, keeping us well informed and prepared during each phase. Every candidate we interviewed was top notch. We were so impressed by Development Guild’s search process and team – and proud to welcome our new Director of Development.
