The Doe Fund welcomes Jennifer Mitchell as its new President and CEO.
The Doe Fund is a leading nonprofit with the mission to break the cycles of homelessness, addiction, and criminal recidivism throughout New York City for under-served populations, including people experiencing homelessness and incarceration, veterans, and people living with AIDS. The Doe Fund’s flagship program, Ready, Willing & Able, employs a three-legged approach to recovery and reintegration that combines paid work, transitional housing, and holistic, supportive services. The Doe Fund has an extensive track record as a nonprofit provider working with a consortium of partners to deliver on complicated affordable & supportive housing projects.
Jennifer rejoins The Doe Fund from The HOPE Program in New York, where she served as Executive Director. In this role, Jennifer spearheaded the organization through its boldest growth phase, ensured outcomes across all of Hope’s programs, and represented the organization to the public.
Before her time at The HOPE Program, Jennifer served as Executive Director of Programs for The Doe Fund, where she supervised The Doe Fund’s flagship program, Ready, Willing, and Able.
As President and CEO, Jennifer will advance The Doe Fund’s position as a trusted resource to the City, offering the comprehensive, holistic solutions needed to build a more equitable and inclusive New York. She will ensure the continued success of The Doe Fund’s programs and represent the organization publicly. Additionally, she will provide stability and leadership, inspire and motivate staff, and build a culture that supports The Doe Fund’s mission.
