Development Guild is pleased to announce that Patricia (Patty) Mason was placed as Executive Director at Kennedy Day School at Franciscan Children’s (KDS).
Patty has more than 30 years of experience in education and administration in educational and residential programs in public, private and institutional settings. In her most recent role at South Shore Educational Collaborative, Patty served as Director of Student Services, overseeing five specialized schools for children in preschool through grade 12, including its transition program. She has vast knowledge of special education, assistive technology, therapeutic services, and curriculum and professional development.
Patty has also been training the next generation of special education teachers and leaders, serving as a professor at Boston College, Northeastern University, Bridgewater State, Stonehill College and Lesley University. She received her PhD from Boston College, completing her doctoral research on augmentative and alternative communication.
In her new role, Patty will oversee all aspects of the daily educational program operation at KDS and will help KDS achieve the next level of excellence in providing specialized education to kids in need.
